Mass. Police Departments Send Prayers, Show Support For Wounded Boston Officers

BOSTON (CBS) – Local police departments in Massachusetts are standing with the Boston Police Department after two officers were shot and critically wounded in the city Wednesday night.

Many showed their support via social media, sending thoughts and prayers to the officers and everyone with the Boston police.

Boston police acknowledged the outpouring of support just before 9 a.m., tweeting "please know we hear you and thank you."

The officers were out of surgery and recovering Thursday morning, but their condition remained critical, and police departments continued to send their well wishes.
