Hollywood Superheroes Settle Super Bowl Bet With Boston Visit

BOSTON (CBS) – The Super Bowl stakes between two Hollywood superheroes have officially been paid up.

On Friday Massachusetts native Chris Evans, whose big screen roles include Captain America, joined Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt for a visit to Christopher's Haven in Boston.

The trip was the result of a friendly Super Bowl wager between the two. Evans is a New England Patriots fan while Pratt is a Seattle Seahawks fan.

Because the Patriots won the Super Bowl, Pratt arrived at Christopher's Haven on Friday dressed in the costume of his character, Star-Lord.

Pratt posted about the visit on social media, saying he was proud to be in Boston meeting "some awesome families."

Pratt was also honored as the Hasty Pudding Man of the Year at Harvard Friday night.

WBZ-TV's Katie Brace reports

Christopher's Haven is a nonprofit organization that offers housing for families who have children receiving outpatient pediatric cancer treatments in Boston.

This isn't Evans' first trip to see young patients in Boston. In December he surprised a young fan who was staying at Christopher's Haven while he received treatment for a brain tumor.

Visit the Christopher's Haven website for more information on the organization.
