'Captain America' Chris Evans Makes Superhero Super Bowl Bet

BOSTON (CBS) – There is plenty on the line when the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks square off in the Super Bowl. And not just for the players and coaches.

A pair of Hollywood stars with ties to each team have settled on a friendly wager based on the result of the game.

Patriots fan Chris Evans, a Sudbury native and star of the Captain America movies, lightheartedly confronted Chris Pratt, star of Guardians of the Galaxy, on Twitter this week.

Pratt is a Seahawks fan, which prompted Evans to tell him "you are my enemy" until the Super Bowl is over.

Responding to Evans' trash talk, Pratt said "there's only one Captain America and his name is (Seahawks quarterback) Russell Wilson," before the conversation shifted to stakes for a bet.

If the Patriots win, Pratt proposed, Evans must fly to Seattle and visit Seattle Children's Hospital dressed as Captain America, waving the Seahawks' famous 12th man flag.

Evans agreed, adding that "when the Patriots humiliate your seachickens" Pratt must make an appearance at Christopher's Haven in Patriots gear.

Christopher's Haven is a nonprofit organization that offers housing for families who have children receiving outpatient pediatric cancer treatments in Boston.

In December Evans surprised a young fan who was staying at Christopher's Haven while he received treatment for a brain tumor.

The Patriots and Seahawks play on Sunday, Feb. 1, at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.

Visit the Christopher's Haven website for more information on the organization.
