What's Up This Weekend: Free Movie, Free Museums, Roller Disco Party

BOSTON (CBS) - Some summer-fun family favorites kick off this weekend – including free outdoor movies, free museum admissions, celebrations of strawberries, and even an outdoor roller disco party.

FREE FUN FRIDAYS
Most kids are out of school, and this incredible summer opportunity is back! Every Friday this summer, several cultural venues in the state have free admission, thanks to the Highland Street Foundation. FREE FRIDAY FLICKS
Another family favorite Friday tradition is back at the Hatch Shell this weekend. It's the first Free Friday Flick of the season, thanks to WBZ NewsRadio 1030. First movie up – The Secret Life of Pets. Bring your blanket or lawn chair, pack a picnic and watch a family friendly movie at sundown. ROLLER DISCO
This is something you don't see every day. City Hall Plaza will host a Donna Summer Roller Disco Party on Friday night. Yes – you read that correctly. The free, family friendly even runs from 6 to 10 p.m., celebrating the Boston disco legend. Bring your own skates, or take advantage of the first-come, first-served free rentals. JERKFEST

STRAWBERRY FESTIVALS
Strawberry lovers rejoice! There are Strawberry Festivals across the area this weekend, to celebrate the harvest. There are special events at Drumlin Farm in Lincoln, Verrill Farm in Concord, Wilson Farm in Lexington, Lanni Orchards in Lunenburg, in Amesbury as part of Amesbury Days, and Russell Orchards in Ipswich.

WORLD GIRAFFE DAY
What better place to celebrate World Giraffe Day than at a zoo? The Franklin Park Zoo is hosting a special event Saturday. Visit the giraffes, learn about the majestic animals with a zookeeper presentation, and spot the giraffe stilt-walker roaming around the zoo.
