The Boston area got a dusting, but schools were closed and power was out in several areas after a storm dropped about a foot of snow in western Massachusetts.

The town of Savoy got more than a foot of snow while Lenox got 11 inches on Sunday, according unofficial National Weather Service figures.

About 1,200 Massachusetts Eversource customers were without electricity at the height of the storm but that was down to about 250 by Monday morning, most in Richmond.

Parts of upstate New York and northwest Connecticut also got a foot or more of snow.
