Husband Of Woman Killed In Sweet Tomatoes Crash Sues Driver

BOSTON (CBS) – The husband of the woman killed in a crash at a Newton restaurant has just filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the driver.

Eleanor Miele, 57, died when a SUV crashed into Sweet Tomatoes in March. The driver, Brad Casler, faces two counts of vehicular homicide.

Miele and 32-year-old Gregory Morin were struck and killed when Casler crashed into the West Newton restaurant. One witness estimated the speed of Casler's vehicle at 70 to 80 mph.

Witnesses told investigators there was no indication Casler applied his brakes or sounded his horn to alert people in the vehicle's path.
