Bruins Select Zboril, DeBrusk, Senyshyn In First Round Of NHL Draft

BOSTON (CBS) -- Following a flurry of trades in the afternoon, the Boston Bruins went into Friday night's first round of the NHL Draft with the 13th, 14th and 15th overall picks.

The Bruins chose to use all three picks, drafting a defenseman and two wingers.

The Bruins selected defenseman Jakub Zboril from Saint John of the QMJHL at No. 13, left winger Jake DeBrusk from Swift Current of the WHL at No. 14, and right winger Zachary Senyshyn from Sault St. Marie of the OHL at No. 15.

All three players are 18-years-old.

Zboril had 13 goals and 20 assists in 44 games for the Saint John Sea Dogs last season.

DeBrusk had 42 goals and 39 assists in 72 games for Swift Current.

Senyshyn finished last season with 26 goals and 19 assists, second best among rookies in the OHL.

Boston acquired the 15th overall pick from the Calgary Flames (as well as two second rounders) for defenseman Dougie Hamilton. Shortly after completing that trade, Boston acquired the 13th overall pick from the Los Angeles Kings for forward Milan Lucic.
