SOMERSET (CBS) – A Fall River man has been arrested for a hit-and-run crash that killed a man in a wheelchair in Somerset last week.

Richard Reis, 35 is charged with leaving the scene of an accident with personal injuries, death resulting, Somerset Police Chief Joseph Ferreira told reporters Wednesday.
James Moore, 65, was struck late Friday night at Read Street and South Way Drive, about a quarter-mile from his home.
Police were searching for a late 90’s model Toyota Avalon. Using automated phone calls to residents looking for help, authorities said Reis’s wife responded to the call and identified their car.
Reis was arraigned Wednesday in Fall River District Court.
