Strong Winds Bring Down Trees, Power Lines

BOSTON (CBS) – Storms brought damaging winds and flooding rains through Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire Tuesday night.

At one point, a tornado warning was issued in the western part of the state. A severe thunderstorm watch was in effect for all of Massachusetts until 3AM Wednesday.

A 51 mph wind gust was measured at Blue Hill in Milton.

There are reports of trees and power lines down across the state, and utility companies are reporting scattered outages.
