CANTON (CBS) – A dump truck crash brought the start of rush hour to a crawl on Route 128 in Canton early Thursday morning.
Check: Traffic Updates
The truck had just left a construction site with the dumper up and was heading down 128 north when it slammed into the overpass at Route 95 around 5 a.m.
The dump container was ripped off the truck in the crash and a sign on the overpass was mangled.
There were no serious injuries.
Three lanes of the highway were closed for the cleanup.
All lanes were re-opened around 6:30 a.m., but traffic was backed up for awhile.
The Department of Transportation said there are no structural issues with the bridge.
There’s no word yet if the dump truck driver will be charged.
