BOSTON (CBS) – A Boston University student is accused of assaulting a female student at a library on campus this weekend.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Karen Twomey reports.
Prateek Jain, 19, is charged with assault and battery for an incident Sunday night at Mugar Memorial Library.
On Sunday evening, Jain struck up conversation with the female student, police said. The two did not know each other.
A few minutes later, Jain allegedly put his hands up the female student’s shirt and touched her stomach.
Jain pleaded not guilty in court on Monday.
This incident comes after two BU hockey players were accused in separate cases of sexual assault this school year. Earlier this month, Max Nicastro was charged with rape, while former teammate Corey Trivino was thrown off the team late last year after he was charged with sexual assault.
