Heidi Watney Breaks Collarbone Playing Ultimate Frisbee
BOSTON (CBS) - Ouch.
Former NESN Red Sox reporter Heidi Watney recently broke her collarbone playing Ultimate Frisbee.
On Twitter, Watney confirmed her injury to her concerned followers, saying she was hurt in a "full-speed collision."
Watney, though, did acknowledge she is recovering.
Watney's contract with NESN expired after this past season. She had covered the Red Sox for four years.
Watney left NESN to work for Time Warner Cable in Southern California and will be covering the Los Angeles Lakers beginning in the 2012-2013 season.
A University of San Diego graduate, Watney will now be able to work closer to home.
The news of Watney's injury was first reported by the Boston Globe's Nick Cafardo.
