Bridgewater State Student Stabbed After Off-Campus Party

BRIDGEWATER (CBS) - A Bridgewater State University student was stabbed Sunday morning after an off-campus party, police said Monday.

Police spotted 19-year-old Thomas Vallee "staggering" along a walkway before falling over at around 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Vallee, a Bridgewater student from Maine, told officers he had been stabbed in the upper right chest on Plymouth Street. He suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The victim told police he had attended a party and got into a fight with 3-5 people. He said the incident happened quick and everyone involved ran away.

Police recovered a small knife from the scene.

Bridgewater police are investigating.
