PLYMOUTH (CBS)- A Texas man may have solved the mystery of a metal object that crashed through the ceiling of a Plymouth warehouse on Thursday.

Danny Dossman, of Belton, Texas says about 6 months ago, the exact same thing happened at his family funeral home.

Dossman has the pictures to prove it.

He saw our story online and called our newsroom.

“As soon as I saw the piece of metal, it looked so similar to the piece of metal that we had found, I knew it had to be related,” he told WBZ-TV’s Jim Armstrong.

WBZ-TV’s Jim Armstrong reports

In his case, a chunk of metal flew out of a broken tree grinder at a nearby construction site.

In the Texas case, the object flew some 800 yards. That means any grinding equipment in the entire industrial park in Plymouth could be to blame.

Plymouth police have asked WBZ-TV to forward them Dossman’s pictures so investigators can have a look.

Of course, we’ll keep you posted.

Can you please better describe “tree grindng equipment.”
    Many Thanks

The Texas Rangers get the bad guys again. Google Earth shows a stump grinding operation right across the street at the end of the cul-de-sac.

  3. Steve Cook says:

I’m not sure I understand this story. Are you saying that alien spacecraft are carrying tree grinders on them, now? That would be frightening!

  4. Michael Alan Bridges says:

Tub grinders can take a huge stump and reduce it to chips in a matter of minutes with counter rotating rings of teeth, if a stump grew around a rock or a peice of metal they can be flipped out or break a tooth which can go a sailing into the wild blue yonder….
