Bruins Assign Kampfer, Caron To Providence

BOSTON (CBS) - The Boston Bruins have assigned forward Jordan Caron and defenseman Steven Kampfer to the Providence Bruins, general manager Peter Chiarelli announced Thursday.

Both had found themselves healthy scratches as the Bruins tore through the month of November, going 12-0-1 and finishing without a regulation loss for the first time since 1969.

Caron had been a healthy scratch the last seven games, with Kampfer being scratched for the last six.

Caron has played in 11 games for Boston this season, registering a goal and two assists. He found his playing time decreased with forward Benoit Pouliot playing well recently.

Kampfer missed the first six games of this NHL season due to an injury sustained in preseason but since his return, he has played five games for Boston, tallying one assist.
