BOSTON (CBS) – State Police shut down the left two lanes of the Massachusetts Turnpike eastbound into Boston Monday afternoon by the Prudential Tunnel so DOT maintenance crews could clear out debris.

Police say they received several complaints about the condition of the highway after plows cleared the surface over the weekend and destroyed some of the milling work on the road.

The work was finished around 1:30 p.m.

No one was hurt and there have been no reports of any serious damage to any cars or trucks.
