BOSTON (CBS) – The New England Patriots are the third most valuable franchise in the NFL, according to Forbes Magazine’s annual survey.

At $1.4 billion, the Patriots trail only the Dallas Cowboys ($1.85 billion) and the Washington Redskins ($1.55 billion) in the NFL. The New York Giants come in fourth at $1.3 billion, followed by the Jets at $1.223 billion.

Altogether, 15 NFL teams are worth at least $1 billion. The least valuable NFL franchise, according to Forbes, are the Jacksonville Jaguars at $725 million.

The Cowboys finished in the top spot of any US team, and are second only to Manchester United of the English Premiere League who is valued at $1.9 billion.
