Runner Knocked Down During Boston Marathon Not Pressing Charges

BOSTON (CBS) – Boston police say they've found the Boston Marathon runner who was knocked down by a bystander during Monday's race.

Investigators asked for the public's help Wednesday in their search for the woman who was knocked down by a man who jumped out onto the course at about 2:20 p.m. on Chestnut Hill Avenue near mile 22.

Other runners helped her up and she continued on towards Cleveland Circle.

Police stopped 20-year-old Brendan Quinn. He was facing charges of disorderly conduct and disrupting an assembly.

Officers wanted to speak with her to get "further clarification on what she went through."

Police told WBZ-TV she came forward Thursday and respectfully declined to press any charges. They added that she's doing fine and wishes to remain anonymous.
