Nearly 1,200 Massachusetts Residents Currently In Coronavirus Quarantine

BOSTON (CBS) -- There are 1,168 Massachusetts residents currently under coronavirus quarantine, according to new Department of Public Health numbers released Wednesday. One week ago, 445 residents were in quarantine.

A total of 886 residents have completed monitoring and are no longer in quarantine.

As of Wednesday there were 256 positive tests for coronavirus in the state.

Of the coronavirus cases in Massachusetts, 97 are related to the Biogen employee conference, 38 are through local transmission, 26 are travel related, and 95 remain under investigation.
