President Trump Supporters Arrive Early Ahead Of New Hampshire Campaign Rally

MANCHESTER, N.H. (CBS) – President Donald Trump is holding a campaign rally Thursday night in New Hampshire. Supporters from around the region lined up more the a full day in advance, hoping to get a good seat for the rally.

Trump's rally is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday at SNHU Arena in Manchester. Doors didn't open until 4 p.m., but fans arrived to claim their spot in line on Wednesday, more than 36 hours in advance.

"I've never experienced anything like this, but I knew I wanted to be right where he was. I'm probably going to faint," Darlene Weeks of Waltham said, wearing a Trump 2020 hat.

Seventeen-year-old John Chiaramitaro waited hours to get inside. He's excited to hear the president speak and to be able to finally vote for him next year.

"It's going to be amazing because I'll be able to actually do something that, do my citizen role of being able to vote for a president," Chiaramitaro said before the rally.

President's Trump's campaign is confident the state will help him win another four years in the White House.

"The enthusiasm is palpable," said Kayleigh McEnany, the National Press Secretary for the Trump Campaign.

"Well President Trump has been clear he wants to win and he can win New Hampshire. New Hampshire was one of the closest states in the nation separated by just 2,700 votes in 2016. We can win New Hampshire in 2020."

Tickets for the rally were first come first serve. Vendors set up shop near the venue, selling Trump 2020 items.
