The Dominican community is getting ready to celebrate the Dominican Festival of Boston 2015 this coming Sunday August 16, 2015 at Boston City Hall Plaza. More than 40,000 people are expected to attend this free event which is actually a week long celebration with events like Women’s Day, Youth Day, Sports Day a Health fair and much more! The big parade starts at noon right in front of the Hynes Convention Center and will go down Boylston Street, ending at City Hall Plaza. Sunday August 16th is also Restoration Day in the Dominican Republic and to commemorate this important day, on this edition of Centro, we tell you about a new supplement that was published this week on the Spanish language newspaper El Mundo. WBZ’s Yadires Nova-Salcedo talks with its author Porfirio de las Nieves. Tune in!
