Report: Aaron Hernandez Asked To Watch TV In Jail

BOSTON (CBS) – If you were wondering whether Aaron Hernandez was watching his former teammates play in their season opener last weekend, the answer is no.

Hernandez, 23, the former New England Patriots tight end now charged with murder, is being held without bail at the Bristol County House of Corrections.

According to a report in the Patriot Ledger, he recently asked for permission to watch television in jail.

But Sheriff Thomas Hodgson said no.

Hernandez is alone in his cell for 21 hours a day.

He is charged with the murder of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd of Dorchester.

He has pleaded not guilty.
