Boston's Best Upcoming Summer Charity Events

In Boston, no one has to choose between having a good time and giving to a number of causes that could use some help. In fact, the two go hand in hand in many cases. From fashion shows to golf competitions, it is possible to engage in an interest or hobby while supporting a charity or organization that deserves it. No matter what a person wants to support, be it medical treatment or neighborhood enhancement, Boston has a way to do it.

Boston is known for its fantastic health care facilities, and is proud to be so. Boston Medical Center is one of those facilities, and it offers a range of cancer care to its patients. Of course, funding helps a lot, so events like the Catwalk for BMC Cancer Care are put on to raise money and awareness of need. The best part about this event is that the very people at the core of the cause are the models. Guests will see staff members and even patients showing off designer duds on the catwalk.

Among the initiatives supported by the Sweet Soul Supper are an active food pantry and The Men's Health League. This benefit is a night of good food, good families and good music for a great cause.

What better way to raise money for a worthy cause than making it across the same home plate that players like Ted Williams and David Ortiz have made it across? Families and spectators are also welcome at the park and along the course for food and festivities.

The Pan-Mass challenge brings New Englanders together for the first weekend of August every year, as spectators watch thousands of bikers go the distance to fight cancer.
