Firicano’s Barber Shop
240 North St.
Boston, MA 02113
Firicano’s Barber Shop is simple, affordable and exactly what you want. The customer service harkens back to an earlier time when the customer was always right and got exactly what he wanted. The prices may feel like they’re from days gone by as well. You can get one of the most affordable straight razor shaves here without sacrificing quality. Even better, they work quickly, getting people in and out on a lunch break or just before heading out for the night.
Mario’s Men Salon can be a little hard to find if you don’t already know where it is. Mario is in a basement level shop just under the Prudential and has been since the early 1970s. So as you can imagine, he has more than a little experience giving great shaves. Mario’s Men Salon gives the full traditional experience with hot towels and lather and a straight razor shave that gets every last hair. If you’ve never had a straight razor shave before, this is a good place to start.

Barbershop Lounge offers a unique experience. It’s part gentlemen’s hangout, part barber shop. Stop in early and shoot a few games of pool while you wait. Expect complimentary coffee or water to sip while you watch the game on one of several flat screens. Oh yeah- they cut hair and give fantastic shaves while you’re there, too. And if you’re one of many guys that feel like the ladies are a little more attentive to grooming, Barbershop Lounge is one of the few places in the city where a woman can give you a classic straight razor shave.

If you’re heading in on a weekend you’ll probably want to book an appointment at Blade Barbershop, but if you can swing a weekday time, chances are good you can walk right in. Accommodating customers is the name of the game at Blade Barbershop. The friendly staff has a knack for knowing exactly what someone wants, even if they don’t know it themselves. While the shop really shines with haircuts, adding a shave on at the end is more than worth it.
