Boston's Best Bars With Jukeboxes
Everybody loves good music, but where can you go in Boston to hear exactly what you want when you want? That's where the good old fashioned jukebox comes into play. No need to suffer through a mediocre cover band or a bartender's Spotify playlist. Instead, head to one of these five bars to pick your own jams.
The Four Winds
266 Commercial St.
Boston, MA 02109
(617) 742-3922

The Four Winds is one of Boston's most underrated dive bars. Unlike most dives, this one is spacious with plenty of tables and bar seating in which to enjoy your jukebox picks. The jukebox, conveniently located next to the arcade game, Golden Tee, is internet digital and offers all of the latest greatest jams and the old classics. A night at the jukebox with friends at the Four Winds in the North End is the perfect way to beat the rainy weekend blues or blow off some steam after a hot day at the Mirabella Pool down the street.

Boston, MA 02110

Biddy Early's is a notorious downtown Irish Pub with a true dive feel. It is dark and dingy and the bartenders serve cocktails in pint glasses. But what really gives this bar its lovely divey vibe is the juke box in the back of the bar. The after-work crowd is known to blast '90s jams and current hits. Basically, anything people can sing along to will be the songs of choice. The downtown location makes this a good pick to meet up with friends after work.
Beacon Hill Pub
149 Charles St.
Boston, MA 02114
(617) 523-1895
Almost like a bigger version of Biddy Early's, Beacon Hill Pub attracts the newly graduated young professional set from around the city. Lovingly known as "BHP," the bar has a set of old school arcade games that are the perfect pair to the jukebox. Make sure to get to the jukebox early on in the evening because this bar gets packed most Saturdays and there is lots of competition for jukebox time! Luckily, everyone there wants to have a good time and are always choosing upbeat, fun music.

The Boston Sail Loft
80 Atlantic Ave.
Boston, MA 02110
(617) 227-7280

The Boston Sail Loft is Boston's favorite summer bar! Known for its preppy patrons, the Sail Loft is a boat themed bar on the waterfront of the North End with dark wooden trim and blue tables. Right in the front of the bar by the doorway is the digital jukebox, a reminder that music is always the first thing to do when setting the scene for a great night out. If the crowd is feeling the song picks, sometimes a spontaneous dance floor will form in the front dining area (the tables are removed when the dinner crowd leaves). So make sure you make dance worthy choices!
State Park
1 Kendall Square
Cambridge, MA 02139
(617) 848-HELLO
statepark.is
State Park in Cambridge's Kendall Square is where to head if you want the real deal. Their jukebox, unlike the others on this list is not digital. Users can use the machine to flip through album covers before choosing their favorite track. This fun vintage jukebox really completes the whole overall look of the bar, which is sort of retro hipster chic!
