Metro Rock, located in Everett, offers a state-of-the-art indoor rock climbing center. Fans of Metro Rock say they keep coming back because of the routes available to climbers and the cleanliness of the facility.

One of the few complaints climbers have about this gym is that it is located in what some say is a dodgy part of town. Many people who have reviewed Metro Rock have said that getting to the gym is an adventure in itself.

Boston Rock Gym is a bit easier to find. It's located in Woburn right near the Route 93 and I-95. There are plenty of challenging routes to choose from, and the knowledgeable staff is always willing to help you out.

And if you're new to the rock climbing scene, don't worry. Newcomers are welcome and the gym is kid-friendly. Boston Rock even hosts a "Friday Night Escape Youth Program" every week.

Rock Spot Climbing is located in Boston's Hyde Park neighborhood. Many climbers say the gym is difficult to find, but once there, the staff and the climbing atmosphere completely makes up for it.

There are several climbing routes that are challenging, but the walls are not as high as other gyms. The teaching staff is very knowledgeable, patient and helpful, which makes any newcomer feel welcome at Rock Spot.
