Also north of the city on the shore is Ten Center Street which is a local landmark in the heart of the seaport area of Newburyport. Established as a restaurant in 1972, Ten Center Street is a lively place for everything from casual cuisine with cocktails to a more formal dining experience, and it even has a patio for when the weather cooperates or function rooms for special events. Ten Center features specials all week long including its five-for-$5 menu where you get 10-ounce Angus burgers Mondays, flatbread pizzas Tuesdays, five Connecticut oysters Wednesdays, tacos on Thursdays or macaroni and cheese Fridays, all for $5.

A 45-minute drive from Boston, on the South Shore, Restaurant Oro features only the freshest seafood from local fishing boats each day. As the name suggests, relish in the ocean and harbor views at this newly updated, family-owned restaurant.
