A high school classmate of Boston bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and Tsarnaev’s friend, Robel Phillipos, who was arrested in connection with the bombing, says the entire situation is surreal.
If the US Attorney’s charges are true, three friends of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev had a few crucial hours to help police track down the bombing suspects, and police officers say those hours could have saved a fellow officer’s life.
All three men charged Wednesday began attending UMass with Tsarnaev in 2011, according to the FBI.
UMass Dartmouth has suspended one student charged in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings and says the other two aren’t enrolled.
