The southbound side of the Southeast Expressway was shut down at the start of rush hour Thursday morning because of a tractor-trailer fire.
State Police responded to an accident at 10:25am on Interstate 93 South, near Exit 33 in Medford.
State police say the truck’s trailer came loose just before the Braintree split spilling gravel and damaging the road.
A snow squall on southbound Interstate 93 caused multiple pileups involving at least 30 cars and a bus in Canterbury, injuring at least nine people and shutting down the road, state police said Saturday. No fatalities were reported.
