Drunk Driving Crash
A Wayland man was sentenced to three years of probation Wednesday after pleading guilty to vehicular homicide in a 2003 drunk driving crash that resulted in the death of a state trooper years later.
In June 2009, Rodrigo Freitas was arraigned on a deadly drunk driving crash. Prosecutors never asked the judge to take his passport away. Freitas made bail, fled the country, and it’s unlikely he’ll ever be prosecuted.
