With the cold front offshore, we can expect a rapid increase in sunshine this morning with mostly sunny skies developing. Although we are behind the cold front, the coolest of the fall air is still well off to our northwest, and as a result temperatures will climb into the lower 70′s most locations, with light northwesterly winds. It doesn’t get much better than this (unless the Patriots win of course).
Evening and overnight severe thunderstorms are being forecasted for the majority of Massachusetts.
Scattered Showers will be taper off this afternoon as a cold front pushes off the coast. The cloud deck will lift and begin to break to partly cloudy skies by midnight tonight. Temps will be in the 40′s for evening festivities and then fall to the upper 30′s around midnight as skies begin to clear.
High pressure builds in over us Saturday supplying dry cold air with winds out of the North. Highs will be in the upper 20′s and Lwr 30′s in the sunshine. Ocean effect clouds and flurries will hang tough at the coast from Boston to the Cape.
Partly sunny skies this morning will give way to increasing cloudiness as the front pushes through this afternoon. This front may even trigger a brief rain or snow shower…but there is plenty of dry air in the low levels to keep today mostly dry. Highs will climb into the upper 30′s and lwr 40′s by midday before falling this afternoon behind the front.
It is a hazy humid mix of sunshine and clouds today. SW winds will help to keeps temps warm in the Mid 80′s for most, cooler on the Cape. This will be another pretty good beach day, despite the haze…it will be dry and warm.
A cold front is on the move. Scattered storms have been forming in New York state and these will be pushing into western New England during the afternoon .
The main batch of rain moving through this morning will gradually be pushing off the coast this afternoon with rain tapering to showers. Temps will be warming aloft, but remain cool at the ground with breezy SE winds with the falling rain. Highs will remain in the 40′s with a slight moderation by the end of the day with lingering showers, drizzle with highs nearing 50.
Colder air will wait until tonight to finally push in. Plenty of low clouds and fog this morning. Visibilities are gradually starting to improve after a very murky start. Scattered light showers and sprinkles have been pushing through from time to time. Temps have started in the 40′s…and that is just about where they will remain today
