Put A Fork In Summer...Fall Is Here to Stay.Cool High pressure sits over New England this morning with cool calm conditions. Temps in the 40's and 50's will be warming inot the 60's this afternoon. Light NE winds will keep it cooler at the coast 62-65, very similar to the current Ocean Temp. It will be slightly warmer inland 65-68 away from the onshore flow.
Pleasant Dry Stretch of Weather AheadSunday will remain dry with filtered sunshine with highs climbing into the 70's near 80 with a cooling sea breeze. But, lows are still expected to drop into the 50's tonight.
Tropical Low Makes Close Pass Tuesday, Tropical Air to FollowWe will be watching clouds advancing ahead of an approaching low up the coast Tuesday. Skies will be clouding over with a chance of rain or showers on the Cape by late afternoon and for the coast by evening.
Summer Heat and Humidity Takes A Break...Today will still be warm and a bit muggy to start. Sunshine with temps climbing into the upper 80's to near 90 in many areas by afternoon.
Sunny & Warmer Weekend...Then Clouds/Showers ReturnWith high pressure sitting over us today, temps will climb into the 70's and lwr 80's inland. Light east winds will keep temps in the 60's at the immediate beaches. The sea breeze will not penetrate more than a mile or two once away from the water...expect a warmer day.
A Big Drink for The Lawns What a day this is going to be. After a week of incredible weather, this one could end up being on of the best. Sunshine with some increasing high clouds in the afternoon with southerly winds gusting to 20+ in the afternoon. Highs will be running well above normal again with highs climbing to near 80 degrees in SNH, the Merrimack Valley and Northern Worcester county. The rest of us will see highs in the mid-upper 70's with a slight sea breeze developing right at the coast this afternoon which will keep it cooler on the south shore beaches and the Cape in the 60's. Fantastic Friday! Is there anything better?
Parade of Warmth This WeekAwesome weather for the St. Patrick's day Parades in South Boston, Scituate and Abington. Bright sunshine with SW winds 10-20 mph will push temps into the 60's nearing 70 this afternoon. With High pressure parked off the coast, This will direct even warmer air into Northern and Central New England, so places like SNH and Northern & Western MA will climb to 70-75 degrees. Records will be broken from Concord, NH to Worcester MA... with Boston's record of 70 degrees in 2011 in jeopardy as well.
Burst of Snow in a Nice WeekendBright sunshine this morning with high pressure pulling off the Mid-Atlantic coast. Clouds will increase this afternoon ahead of an energized short wave which will push through tonight. Highs temps should be able to climb into the mid 40's ahead of the increasing PM clouds and west winds.
Dodging The Downpours Today...With A Look At The WeekendRain will be filling in for the rest of the morning. Periodic heavy rain will track up the coast through the afternoon and evening delivering a widespread 1-2" of rainfall with locally heavier amounts unto 3" in areas which end up seeing more persistent pockets of rain track through mixed in with quieter moments. The peak of the rain will be from 12 PM-12 AM...but a few downpours after midnight can not be ruled out even though there will be a trend to taper to showers overnight through early Thursday.
