Cape Cod And Islands
Considering how cloudy and dismal November can be, we are doing pretty well. Starting out this morning, we have lots of November chill out there. Many locations bottomed out in the middle 20’s overnight, but with […]
We do have a string of nice weather to enjoy with sun filled skies. Highs today will be near 50 under slightly breezy and brisk conditions. The coldest air of the season is sliding into New England late tonight behind a weak cold front and light NW winds. Clear skies with diminishing wind will allow most areas outside of the city and away from the coast to drop below freezing overnight.
With breaks of sunshine, temperatures will be cool in the upper 40’s northwest suburbs to lower 50’s southeast Mass, Cape and Islands. An active and blustery wind at 15-25mph from the northwest will add some extra chill to the air making it feel more like the middle 40’s. November is here!
Despite a cold frontal passage today, the immediate post-frontal air mass will be summer-like with high temperatures reaching the lwr-middle 70’s in many locations, with the exception of the Cape and Islands where winds off the water will keep temperatures closer to 70. Average highs this time of year are around 60 degrees, so we’ll be 15 degrees above normal to start the weekend! Southwest winds will be breezy at 10-20mph.
Rentals on the Cape and Islands are being snatched up and it’s not even May.
Round one( the Norlun Trough) is moving through Metrowest in a weakened state this morning. It is still providing moderate bursts of snowfall, reducing visibility down to mile at times…and enough for a general coating to 1″ of snow. Roads are mostly wet…but a slushy accumulation is gathering in spots
The final batch of light snow is pushing from Southern Maine into Eastern Mass for the late morning and midday. Light snow will be tapering off this afternoon…but it could take the Cape and islands most of the day for the snow to finally end. Temps will be warming into the upper 30’s, so some of this light snow at the coast may start to mix with a light rain.
