One person was killed and four others were injured in a canoeing accident in Leominster.

One Dead, Four Hurt In Overnight Canoeing Accident At Route 2 Reservoir

One person is dead and four others seriously injured in a canoeing accident in a reservoir on the Fitchburg-Leominster line. Rescue officials were called to the scene near Route 2 early Saturday morning. They say two of the victims may have been in the water as long as an hour. They were taken by air to area hospitals.
