Beyond The Forecast
A cold front slipped through earlier this morning pushing the heat and humidity out of here for the foreseeable future. I use the word heat loosely here because we didn’t even touch 90…87 was the best we could do.
So we just had a couple of stunning days…sunny, warm yet very low humidity. That’s all about to change as heat and humidity will build in over the next couple of days. We have yet to touch 90 degrees here in Boston this year and the last time we did was last September. The average date for the first 90 degree day is June 8th…so we aren’t too far off.
The weekend is off and running but it’s pretty slow out of the gate. A warm front to our south produced inundating rain with many towns picking up an inch if not more. The soaking downpours have moved out for now but it’s still rather miserable out with lingering mist, drizzle and dense fog. Now we look ahead to Father’s Day weekend and the hope is for some sunshine and we’ll get it…just not easily.

Thunderstorm chances will be running fairly high this afternoon and we will have to keep an eye on the radar…storms that form will have heavy rain, lightning, gusty wind and possible hail.
