Boston Area Baseball On A Budget

Everyone loves friendly Fenway Park, but not only are tickets expensive (especially for the whole family!), they can be very difficult to come by if you aren’t a season ticket holder.Luckily, the Boston-area is home to several wonderful minor league baseball teams, which are easy to travel to, reasonably priced, and completely family-friendly. It’s a great way to introduce your kids to professional baseball, without the hassle or expense of Fenway Park. It’s also a great way to spend a night outdoors and be entertained by the baseball on the field and wild antics off the field. All of these parks are within an hour radius of Boston, and with the decreased traffic and easy parking, will probably be an even quicker trip than Fenway! – By Jodi Grundig

The Cape Cod Summer League (albeit not Minor League) offers the best Family Friendly baseball featuring the baseball stars of tomorrow all at little or no cost (where else can a hat be passed away for “donations”). With 10 cape towns to choose from, those in the Boston southern suburbs can make it to Wareham, Bourne or Flamouth within an hour or 90 minute drive. Families can bring their own food or buy something from the snackbars run at each location. Seeing the college kids in action in this infamous league is Summer baseball at its best!
