HUDSON (CBS) – A horse that apparently wandered away from a farm ended up stuck in a frozen creek in Hudson Saturday.

At first, firefighters wrapped a fire hose around the body of the horse but it wasn’t enough to move it out of the muddy creek off Central Street.

So they brought in a front end loader to get enough leverage to lift the horse up from the creek, which is about 5 feet deep.

The fire chief told WBZ-TV the horse is o.k.
