Tow Truck Driver Shot In Jamaica Plain

JAMAICA PLAIN (CBS) – A tow truck driver was injured during an early morning shooting in Jamaica Plain.

Boston Police are investigating the shooting, which took place on Parker Street around 4 a.m.

At the Dorchester office of Peter's Towing, employees told WBZ two of their co-workers were in a parking lot at a Parker Street apartment complex looking for cars parked illegally when they were confronted by two young men who took issue with their presence.

An argument turned physical and one of them pulled out a gun, shooting the driver.

Employees say the shooting victim, who was with the company for less than a week, underwent surgery for a gun shot wound to the chest, a wound considered life-threatening according to police.

The tow truck driver has not been identified and police continue to search for the shooter.
