Plymouth County Sheriff's Deputy, Driver Hurt In Rockland Crash

ROCKLAND (CBS) -- A Plymouth County Sheriff's Department deputy and another driver were injured when their two cars collided Wednesday morning.

The crash happened just before 10 a.m. on Beech Street.

The Plymouth County Sheriff's Department said the deputy was a member of the K9 unit, and that his injuries were non-life-threatening. He was taken to South Shore Hospital.

They did not have information about the other driver's condition.

Rockland Police said the weather was too poor to allow Medflight to land nearby.

The cause of the crash was not yet known.
