Dwyane Wade Makes Throat Slash Gesture After Hitting Three-Point Dagger [VIDEO]

BOSTON (CBS) -- Chicago Bulls guard Dwyane Wade could face discipline from NBA commissioner Adam Silver for making a "throat slash" gesture after sinking a back-breaking three-pointer late in the Bulls' 105-99 win over the Celtics on Thursday night.

Wade's three-point dagger came with just 26 seconds left in regulation. The subsequent throat slash gesture, however, could get him in trouble with the NBA front office. The Warriors' Kevin Durant was fined $25,000 in 2013 for making the same move, which the NBA described as a "menacing gesture."

The game was a homecoming of sorts for Wade, who grew up in Chicago. But there is a precedent of punishment for making a throat-slashing gesture, so Wade should expect a fine for his actions, even though the gesture didn't appear to be directed at anyone in particular.

Wade finished with 22 points and four three-pointers on the night. He made seven three-pointers all of last season.
