Juan is a shy eleven-year-old boy of Hispanic descent. Juan likes being active and playing outdoor sports. Juan especially enjoys playing basketball, football, video games, and going out to eat. Juan is motivated to do well in school and benefits from special education supports for some learning challenges as well as emotional, social, and behavioral needs. Juan is described as shy initially, but will warm up once he gets to know you. Juan does well with structure and routine.

Juan is legally freed for adoption and will need a dedicated and patient family who is able to keep him connected to his siblings. Any family constellation will be considered. Juan has four siblings in Massachusetts he is close to and he will need to remain in contact with them. It would be best for Juan to be the youngest or only child in a potential family.

Since its inception in 1981, Wednesday's Child has been a collaboration of the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE), the Department of Children & Families and WBZ-TV/CBS Boston. Hosted by Jack Williams for the last 34 years, this weekly series has given a face and voice to the children who wait the longest for families. Wednesday's Child has helped find homes for hundreds of waiting children and continues to raise awareness about adoption from foster care.
