NightSide - The Running Mates Take The Stage

BOSTON (CBS) - The two major party vice presidential candidates will go toe-to-toe, as each looks to generate some much needed momentum for their ticket. After a disastrous performance at the first debate, Trump was also hit with a damaging story about his tax returns over the weekend and is looking to get his campaign back on track. Meanwhile, though Hillary Clinton seemed like the much stronger candidate on the debate stage, she has been unable to generate the type of excitement or enthusiasm needed to get her supporters to show up at the polls. Tonight, Indiana Governor Mike Pence and U.S. Senator Tim Kaine will look to help out their running mates by delivering a strong performance. Dan will be joined by WBZ Political Analyst Jon Keller and former Virginia Governor Jim Gilmore to preview the debate. Then WBZ brings you the Vice Presidential Debate live!

Originally broadcast October 4th, 2016.
