Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing In Peabody
PEABODY (CBS) – No one was injured as a helicopter pilot was forced to make an emergency landing in Peabody.
Around 2:20 p.m. the pilot experienced a mechanical malfunction.
As a result, the pilot of the privately owned helicopter safely landed near the Peabody Water Treatment Plant.
The Federal Aviation Administration was not required at the scene because the landing was not categorized as an accident,
Peabody Police said the helicopter will be repaired and removed on Friday.
