Investigators have determined that Marcotte's killer was a man and he likely suffered scrapes, bruises and scratches during a struggle, Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early said during a press conference on Thursday.

Authorities are hoping more people will come forward with information on any males anyone may have noticed with similar injuries earlier in the week. Authorities are also asking anyone who may have noticed any vehicles -- moving or parked -- on Brooks Station Road between 1 to 3 pm on August 7.

No arrests have been made in Marcotte's death.
