2 Women Struck By Stray Bullet In Worcester

WORCESTER (CBS) -- Two women were struck by a bullet after shots rang out on Perry Avenue in Worcester on Saturday.

Police say the women, one 52 years-old and the other 42-years-old, were on a porch of a second floor apartment around 4:47p.m. when they were hit.

The 52-year-old female was hit in the lower leg. The same bullet then grazed the back of the 42-year-old. The woman struck in the leg was taken to a nearby hospital. One of the victim's sons says both women are OK and want to forget about the shooting.

Police say the women were not the intended target.

No suspects have been named. The incident is currently under investigation.
