Ground Spraying To Kill Mosquitoes Intensifies In New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD (CBS) - The fight to wipe out mosquitoes carrying diseases like West Nile and EEE intensifies in New Bedford.

Ground spraying began around 2 a.m. Thursday and stopped at sunrise.

Crews are focusing on public parks and locations that host large public events.

Residents can also request ground spraying near them by contacting the Bristol County Mosquito Control Project at (508) 823-5253, between 8 am and 2 pm or by e-mail at RequestBristolMCP@comcast.net.
