Wednesday's Child: 16-Year-Old Stacey

Stacey is a very sweet, sensitive and caring young lady of Hispanic descent. She will be turning seventeen years old this summer. She loves to sing and dance. Stacey has stated that when she grows up she would like to be a singer or a social worker. She really wants to work with people when she is older.

Stacey attends a local high school. Her focus is Culinary Arts and she enjoys it! She currently has an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) and she participates in the Life Skills program at school. Within her program, she is an "A" student and will be graduating next year. Stacey has been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, yet she is a very independent youth. She is able to walk and go up and downstairs by holding onto objects in her home. She uses crutches when she goes out and utilizes a walker while she attends school.

Legally free for adoption, Stacey would like a two parent family, either a mom and a dad or two moms. She is also open to a single female parent home. Stacey would like to be only or the youngest in the home. She is a wonderful young lady with a big heart and is really looking forward to being a part of a forever family!

Hosted by Jack Williams for the last 34 years, this weekly series has given a face and voice to the children who wait the longest for families. Wednesday's Child has helped find homes for hundreds of waiting children and continues to raise awareness about adoption from foster care.
