Cat Rescued, 5 Displaced By Brockton House Fire

BROCKTON (CBS) -- A cat was rescued and five adults were displaced by a two-alarm house fire in Brockton Saturday morning.

Firefighters were called to the Laureston Street home around 7 a.m. by the residents. They found heavy fire in the basement, where the blaze originated, fire officials say.

No one was hurt in the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No additional information was immediately available.
