Zadrick is a twelve-year-old boy of Caucasian and Hispanic descent. He is friendly, talkative and pleasant to be around. He likes to play inside rather than outside. When inside he likes to play volleyball and outside he likes to play flag football. He is also very good at video games. He needs to be encouraged to try to new things, especially food, which he is very picky about. Incentives work well in his foster home as he seems to need to have something to work toward. Presently Zadrick has an Individual Educational Plan as his frustrations and anger stand in the way of learning. He attends therapy weekly to help him address issues around loss and separation.

Legally free for adoption, Zadrick will fit well into almost any experienced family constellation that is loving, structured, and firm. He will need to maintain contact with his two sisters and his grandmother.

Since its inception in 1981, Wednesday's Child has been a collaboration of the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE), the Department of Children & Families and WBZ-TV/CBS Boston. Hosted by Jack Williams for the last 34 years, this weekly series has given a face and voice to the children who wait the longest for families. Wednesday's Child has helped find homes for hundreds of waiting children and continues to raise awareness about adoption from foster care.
