Report: Boston Ranks Among Top 10 Worst Cities For Traffic

BOSTON (CBS) -- According to a report by car services company INRIX, Bostonians spent an average of 64 hours in traffic in 2015--making our city the seventh worst in the nation for traffic congestion.

"In comparison, Los Angeles came in worst with 81 hours," said INRIX's Chris Hanley. "But 64 hours is a lot of time spent doing nothing but sitting in traffic."

Still, you'll probably notice that when it comes to traffic and commutes, everyone tends to think theirs is a little bit worse.

One commuter told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Karen Twomey that Route 146 was the worst.

"Route 146--it's the dumbest thing that ever happened," he said.

Tammy, who takes Route 146 to the Mass. Pike every day, said it isn't pretty, but she just does it.

"It's an hour, I just add it into my day, and just play the music and go," she said.

Another woman said she knows her commute is bad--she just tries to be philosophical about it.

"No road rage," she said. "Just let people cut in front of me, just go. We're all getting there at the same time."
